An acupuncture treatment starts with an intake where we talk about any health concerns and expectations for treatment. Afterwards the needles are inserted and are typically left in place for about 10 minutes while the patient relaxes. With half hour treatments other modalities are not included. Typically during treatment many people experience a sense of calm or mild tingling, and the session aims to restore balance and support the body’s natural healing processes. Acupuncture is not meant to cause pain, only to help relieve it.
